The backup gets cancelled

Hi,
Whenever I left a backup job it gets cancelled.
When i check the log it tells me that the tape has an unrecoverable data. After that I can't format that tape.

Could it be the drive?

Yes it could be the drive or the SCSI controller. An easy test is to power down the server, then power back up. If the SCSI controller got "lost" it should be ok. I have had that error many times and the controller was the problem.

I have also ran into this problem - i had to power down the PDC then ARCServe - then power back on Arcserve and only then the PDC - you can then 'watch' the SCSI controller 'getting lost' - it fixed the problem !
