Hello,

I set up my IP Office to retrieve contacts with phone numbers from the LDAP directory, it works perfectly well.
However, the problem i have is that among this list of imported contacts, some first names have accents, and so we have a strange symbol instead when we consult this directory on a 9608...
Does anyone have an idea to solve this format interpretation problem ?

Thank you in advance for your help!

My first question is : what version is used on the IPO and on the phones?
My second question is : did you use monitor to observe how the contacts are imported and what is send to the phone?

It may very well be a limitation of the phone as I never seen problems with special chars like ô, é, è or ö on the 16xx, or J179 sets.

Make sure the phones have loaded a correct version to go with the IP Office or load a later H.323version:

Hi intriguant !
Thank you already for your answer, so
answer 1: The IP OFFIce is on release 11.0.0.1 and the 9611 have the version 6.6604 of firmware H323.
answer 2 : Yes used Monitor to see if the retrieval was going well, and in what I see the accents are well interpreted...

The version available via the link is version 6.8... Do you think this new firmware would solve my problem?
Or if not, what could I play on to see if it would change the display?

Thaks.
