Does anyone know of a good tftp server that runs on W2003K Enterprise, that can handle 200 or so connections / downloads at the sametime?
We have a requirement where we if we have to mass reboot 200 IP phones and download the config, we find that many (at least 50%) don't boot correctly and we suspect that our current TFTP just falls over (after the mass boot, we have to start and stop the service before others will reload).

We currently use the free Sloar Winds One, but wonder if there are better ones out there, or is it in fact not realted to the app, but to windows itself?

Thanks,

tftpd32 is a winner.

It used to be the recommended one by cisco to use as well (maybe still is).

Windows is notoriously bad with UDP traffic. We use NetIQ Vivinet Assessor and the Windows endpoint is useless unless you are running it on stupid hardware - to simulate 200 simultaneous VoIP calls we ended up using two HP Proliant DL380 G4's with 4GB or RAM and these were only just up to the job....

Use Linux as it just handles UDP so much better and you won't need a supercomputer to run it on... Either that or split the load over multiple TFTP servers and modify your DHCP Scopes accordingly to load balance the traffic.
