textures and stuff

I am new to using flash and i only know how to animate normal text. Can i get some textures for my text, such as words on fire and stuff? Or lightning in the background?

You can add text over any animated background, be it lightning or anything else. Text effects & textures are somewhat limited in Flash. A few are possible, but for most of them, you have to break apart your text so you can manipulate it... Each letter sort of becomes an object.
But the process is not reversible... You can't edit(spelling) your text once it's been broken apart.
Guess you would have to import animated titles made through other apllications, if you wanted more sofisticated effects.
