texture problem

Hi,

I have created a temple like building and are now applying the textures. Now thats not so difficult but i am encountering some odd thing. Every time i apply a texture to the outer wall of the temple the texture of the roof also changes to that texture. Those two are not linked or grouped in any way.
I am using textures from images (BMP). Does any know how to solve this problem?

Have you tried going back and changing the roof texture after you apply the first one?
