Textboxes On Different Pages of Tab Control Bound to Same Column Display Issues

I have two textboxes bound to the same column of a data table. Each box is on a separate page of a tab control.
If I change the text in one of the textboxes it is not updating the text in the other textbox on the other page. This worked in VB.net 1.1 but I have moved the project to VS 2008 and it does not work now. I've read some of the info I found with Google, but haven't found a good solution. Is there a simple (or other) fix for this?
