I have a table that stores the current financial year called tblFinYear. It has one field = curFinYear, and has only one entry.

I have a textbox on the switchboard that I am trying to display the current financial year in, but am having difficulty referencing the entry in tblFinYear, and keep getting the #Name error.

Can anyone advise me as to the correct method for referencing a specific entry in a table?

Thanks.

Try setting the control source property of the text box to
="Current Financial Year" & DLookUp("[curFinYear]","[tblFinYear]")
or if you just want the data in the table use
=DLookUp("[curFinYear]","[tblFinYear]")

Good Luck!
