I have a textbox control and when the user clicks on the textbox and highlights the existing text, one of the characters disappears almost as if the font size increases. This textbox barely fits on the screen and I am not sure if it can be widened and the users do not want the font size reduced. they have my hands tied here. lol.

For example: textbox contains: '100000012'
When I highlight it, the textbox only shows '10000001'
I have confirmed that the selected text in the copy buffer does contain all of the original textbox text however, the users think that it is a problem when they don't see all of the characters.

I was wondering if anyone else has seen this behavior and knows if there is anything that can be done.

Thanks.

I assume the selection portion, which is slightly larger than the characters themselves, pushes the control 'over the limit' and it truncates. If you can't move to a smaller font size, perhaps there is a slightly different font of the same size you could use. Or you could try to increase the width of the control by 1 until it is large enough to handle the highlight area.

I think you are right about the select area being larger than the original text although I am not sure I understand why it behaves this way. I ended up moving controls and resizing the textbox a bit and it is OK now.
thanks.
