I want to write/find an ASP.NET text input control similar to the one through which Windows allows users to change the time on a PC. I know how to write very basic ASP.NET web controls. I could just ask the user to input the time in a certain format then parse the text and extract the time, but I would like instead to force the input to be correct by way of inserting fixed colons(or some other charachter) which will force the input to look like this:

[xx:xx AM]

I don't know enough to be able to have the box render a fixed colon which the user can't edit, and have the rest of the box be editable.

Any ideas?

Would a simple idea be to use two text boxes with Max Length 2 (and allow only numbers) and a drop down with AM/PM? Mark [openup]

The best ideas are the simple ones.

Thanks Mark
