hey is there any way that i can make the background of a textArea component transparent or invisible?

You can change the color... but I am pretty sure you can't make it invisible. If it is possible it is probably going to be through reskinning the component.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!

i have found a work around it by creating a text field and attaching a scroll bar to it. this will achieve the same thing for me
