TextArea Capacity

Hi there,

Is there is a capacity (maximum length) for <textarea>? Because Im facing a problem when I fill the <textarea> with large amount of data and then tryin to hit the submit button, the form is not submitting! then when I put a few words in the <textarea> its submitted perfectly!

How to overcome it?!

32k limit, browser dependant though, some have 64k limit apparently

on error goto hell

Hi mate,

What method are you using to submit the form? Have you made sure this is not the processing script that is causing this?

are you trying to store the value to your database/table? If so, what driver do you use?
I once had a similar problem. I use Visual Foxpro driver as my datasource.
Read this thread thread232-641975 in coldfusion forum. Or try to search by any word of &quot;memo field length limitation&quot; key.
