You have to get familiar with “Layers”. I suppose that you are using a newer version than PS 4.0.
Every time you select the text tool and types in something on your picture, a new layer will be made. You can see your layer by pressing “F7”.
By doubleclicking on the layer that contains the text, a dialogbox appears where you can edit the text.
If you want to remove the text, then select this text layer and hit the trashcan in the lower left corner of the “Layers Window”.
The layer window has some magnificent features. Try to rightclick at the right corner of your text layer, and a dropdrown menu should appear (or else try again). Try to select “Effects” and work around with it.
I use the “Drop Shadow” effects and “Outer Glow”, when I place some text on a picture with many colours. It draws up the text.
If the texts you have made are rendered directly to the image, you’re in trouble. For one month or two, there where a discussion of that problem in this forum, perhaps you could get some tips from there on how to erase the text, e.g. by using “Rubber Stamp” .
Short introduction to Rubber Stamp
The rubber stamp tool takes a sample of the image, which you then can apply over a part of the same image.
1. Select “Rubber Stamp”.
2. Try also to doubleclick on the Rubberstamp on the tool bar and the options for the RubberStamp tool appears. Here the most important option is which opacity you may want.
3. Select “Brushes” (Shortcut = F5). Select the size of the rubber stamp from here.
4. Move the rubberstamp to an area that you want to clone.
5. Hold down “Alt” and click.
6. Move the courser to – in your case the text you want to remove from the picture”, hold down the button on the mouse and drag the mouse over the text.
7. Repeat step 5 when necessary.
It sounds a little complicated, but ones you have become familiar with this tool, you’ll love it.
