Text Wrap vs Quark Runaround

I am making the transion from Quark to Indesign. The problem I have is that when I change the run around (text wrap) on a box it is set in inches. When I go to the preferences or Info palat and change it to points it changes everything else to points globally. How can I only change the text wrap to points while maintaing inches everywhere else at the same time?

you can simply type in "14pt" or "5mm" and it will convert itself to inches,
but you have to add the pt ot the mm or cm etc. If you just put in 14 it will think it has to inches.
