Text to Voice?

We have an Definity S8500 and TN2501 Announcement Board.

Is there a program that would convert text to a voice that could be saved to the announcement board and played as the announcement?

We have trouble recruiting someone to record our announcement and thought this was be a better solution.

Yeah, finding somebody to record announcements can be a problem
If you really can't find anybody you can try:

but will never beat a real voice.

Free software is available and not that bad, but you will have to play with it before you will get a good result.
You can save it as wav or mp3 (if I remember well).
