I created a logo for my boss and was so proud of my work. He came back to me later and asked if I could turn it all blue. I thought that was a simple task but when I opened the file my wording which I had 'fit text to path' was all skewed up! I made a 2 inch circle with a giant K in it and fit the words KIWANIS over it and fit the word INTERNATIONAL under it. Then I put that into a 2 1/2&quot; circle. It looked great but I guess when it 'SAVED' it changed it. After I reopened it I was no longer able to move the words. I could move everything else, though. I could click on it and delete it, just not move it. Does anyone have any idea why this happened? Thanks a lot for your help.<br>

Did you somehow lock the object? Click on the words. Do they have &quot;placeholders&quot; around them that look like little handles? If so, you need to unlock the object. I've used the feature to redraw stuff because I didn't want to select that item, I wanted to create new stuff over it. Just a thought...

Hi Dreamboat! Thanks for your quick reply! <br>
I don't think I locked it into place. There are no 'handles' around it. It looks perfectly normal except it is scewered over so that it no longer is where I placed it and I can't seem to move it back. It appears that the only way I can fix my logo is to completely redo the words again. I don't know how to do both words at the same time. Maybe that is my problem. I placed Kiwanis first and then placed International. Maybe somehow they actually won't fit unless I do them both together. I am not sure how to do that though. I am not actually placing them on the outside edge of the inner circle. I am placing them and then moving them away from the edge just a tiny bit so that the words are placed inside the inner and outer circles. How do you do that with both words at the same time?? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I've found Fit Text To Path to be 'unstable' in the same way sometimes.
To be safe, I tend to save a copy of the drawing then Convert text to curves and combine objects of the same color where possible to simplify the whole thing

K )

I agree with Killian, when I am doing this type of thing what I do is this:
After you have the text looking the way you want it separate the text from the path you have fitted it to.
Then convert the text string to curves. You can either convert the whole string as one object or break apart the text into individual words or even characters then convert to curves.
You can then delete the path you fitted the text to if you no longer need it.
Doing the above will avoid the problems you have when you reopen the file.
