I am a Acrobat n00b, and was filling out a job application .pdf within Acrobat Professional 6 and my text is getting scaled automatically by the amount of text I type (i.e: shrinking as I type more - auto scaling). When I'm done entering text into the section there is a mish-mash of font sizes with the text boxes that contain little text having these huge letters and the boxes with much text is microscopic. It looks horribly unprofessional.

Is there any way to disable this function, or is this scaling embedded within the original document itself? I have been through he help files (very cryptic) and on the internet with no resolution.

Hope you folks can help.

Thanks in advance.

The auto-scaling is set as a property of each individual field in which data is entered - in order to change it you would need editing rights to the document itself, so if you don't have this then you are stuck.

Well, if you get a PDF cracker like Advanced PDF Password Recovery on PC, or PDF-Recover on Mac, or any of the other progs that do this you can turn off encryption and security on protected PDF files.

Though you would still need the Full Acrobat to edit the field properties once you cracked the pdf.

Cheers
