thank you... i (obviously) don't know what i am talking about... i just happen to notice "text="000000"" in the BODY tag and thought that this was the default for the font face for the whole document... you know, kinda like they have the hex numbers for the colors? as well as the name (eg. red) for a color? just thought that since they had the text names, perhaps there was a matching "hex" number... guess not, huh?
text=000000 in the body tag means the color of the text throughtout the page is black. But this really isn't necessary since the default color(without specifying anything) is black.
Actually, that only shows the color numbers for the NAMED colors. Colors numbers can be any hex value from 000000 to FFFFFF. However, the list IS useful. But here's a better version of the named color list. This page shows the color name, RGB value and HSV value. It's sorted by HSV, so like colors are grouped together, instead of being sorted by color name, which is pretty useless. This page also doesn't have any extraneous advertising, etc.
Thanks wullie. Of course, I put that stuff up there to help others out, but also to give me a chance to plug the site. Nothing wrong with that as far as I know. Glad you found stuff there that helps. Hopefully I'll be able to post more there too. Tracy Dryden
