HI guys I am about to start a petty big project that will contain alot of text now I am using flash mx 2004 pro, what do you think the best way to do th text would be as I know text does slow the mc down, I was thinking external .txt files but I wasnt sure if there is something better.

If you want to update the text, without re-editing & re-publishing the movie each time, then text files are definately the way to go.

I won't really need to update the text files ever all I need is for the movie to not become slugish because of the amount of text, I need to make the text not take up so much resources.

If you're not manipulating the text (tweening it, rotating...), don't see how or why the amount of text would slow down the movie.

the text might have to be scrollable
