Text problem in disjointed rollover

I am attempting to display text in a rollover image. I have tried importing the text into Illustrator, Photoshop, Word and Fireworks then exporting it to Dreamweaver (both .gif & .jpg formats). When I complete the rollover function, the text displays, but it looks terrible. I am close, but I must not be setting the options correct when exporting.

make sure you have antialias on the text and export as a jpeg at high quality
that works for me if that doesnt work then try with out antialias that makes the text more (how do you say) sharp i guess
whos that behind you?
