text pics i create and put in premier loose quality when preview

I made some text titles on just solid color backrounds to import to a slide show of pics I'm making in premier 6.0. The quality looks great untill i make a preview or export the project to video. The text is green blotchy around the edges. Any suggestions? I'm using a high enough resolution on the pics. It must be in the video compression? The compressor i'm using is Microsoft DV (NTSC)that's the only option i have i'm pretty sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
