1.How can I draw spiral, springs and threads as on a bolt in autocad 3d?
2.How can I apply text onto a curved surface such as a label on a can or bottle in autocad 3d?
Any help or suggestion on this matter is greatly appreciated.

This is from another post that I read so I can not vouch for the accuracy of it. I hope it helps with part of your question.

You will need to create a 3-d model :
Draw your ellipse and the major and minor axes in a plane.
Use one of these axis lines to trim away half the ellipse.
Then switch to a coordinate system centred on one end of the half-ellipse and with the end of the ellipse line perpendicular to the xy plane.
Draw your groove shape and a small part of the internal solid cross-section as a closed polyline.
Use the extrude command on the polyline and specify the nearest end of the ellipse as a Path for extrusion.
(Extruded polylines cannot self-intersect, therefore your polyline cannot extend to the centre of the ellipse).
Mirror to get the other half.
Draw an irregular polyline in the plane of the ellipse to cover the central hole, extrude it upwards, and union it with the earlier solid to close the central hole.

I found this tip for text.

Creating Text in a Circular Path in AutoCad
It is a unique trick to enter text in a circular path. To do so, type TEXT and then Enter. Type just a single character, such as ´r´ as the text.

Next use the Array command to create a polar array of the text character. Select the text and give the exact number for total number of items prompt, then press OK.

You will get ´r´ in a circular path. You can then edit each text character and replace ´r´ with the character you need.

Note: Be sure in the polar array at the "total no of items" prompt to enter the exact number of text that you need.

Great tip.It worked.
My next question is how can I apply art work on a circular path? Thanks

I think if you look in your help file in AutoCAD, it can help you with applying images. Look for "Specify How to Apply the Map".
