text on a vector

Can Illustator put text on a shaped vector such as a circle or arc? If so how?
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
Draw your shape, then click and hold on the text tool. A few more options will appear, so select the one that looks like a 'T' on a line. Now click on the path (it will become invisible) and type!
