Hi,

I have a user who wants to send an email to all of their customers – basically a mail merge. I get the idea of text objects and can build it for her but my question is more about how to send the email. We currently publish and schedule reports using the InfoView. My question is, if I publish and schedule a report that contains text objects, will it be able to send each unique email?

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

In CR8.5, my users were able to run compiled .exe files. We are considering upgrading to XI. If compiling is not provided in XI, how are users able to run the reports?

Thanks

Compiled EXEs of reports are no longer supported.

View-Only access to RPT files from XI has to be done via 3rd Party Tools, Custom .Net or Java applications, through the web-based CRYSTAL REPORT SERVER XI, or the "shared services" at BOBJ's crystalreports.com site.
