When one of my users tries to print a few documents off of the a website a portion of the text on the document doesn't print with the rest of the document. The area where the text should be is blank. Any ideas on how I might fix this? She is using Internet Explorer 6 and has Windows XP. Thanks for you help in advance.

Is that text colored? Could be the printer. Have you tried to print the same page?

The answer is "42"

The text is just black text. She did try it on another printer and it did the same thing. If you look at it under Print Preview it doesn't show up there either.

We have tried it on other computers and it does print out fine.

Bcastner:
Will this fix it if only a portion of the text isn't printing but the rest is?

All it is going to do is to ensure that some critical DLLs are registered. (Uncheck the SFC /Scannow option).

Then go to a working machine. Load IE, then Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, and check the setting for printing backgrounds. Make sure the troublesome machine is set the same way.

I applied the fix to the PC and cecked the seetings it was the same as the one that does print it. I had the user try it out andthe text still does not print out. Any other ideas?

Then this could well be a frames issues.
On a "good" machine, run IE and check the settings under File, Print, Options.

Make sure the "bad" machine has identical settings.

I checked under File>Print>Options on a "good" PC and the "Bad" PC and the settings were indentical on both of the computers.

Print Driver issue maybe? I know you said you tried this on 2 different printers from 1 workstation, but maybe those 2 printers use the same driver. Do you have the latest dirvers for the printer on that workstation? Or maybe try switching between a PCL and PS driver just as a test.

When we print it on the good computer it is using the same exact printer and the two pc have the same drivers in them so I wouldn't think that would be the problem.

I was wondering if anyone else may have come up with a fix for this?

Could you give me the URL for this site so that I can view the source?

Wouldn't be possible. the site that she is printing it from is a secure site and she actually logs onto the site with a user name and password. She is printing out orders that we are getting from customers.
