Text - metrics

I would like to report on columns in the fact table that are text fields. The only operator that works with text fields are max, min, etc. The report works fine when the 'date' attribute is on the template of the report. However, I would like to select a month and display all the messages in the text column from the fact table.
(I've changed the dimensionality on the metric to 'Date', however I was unsusscessful.)

unfortunately not the best thing suited for MicroStrategy. Here's a workaround. create an attribute called "text message", and place this attribute on the report with month. that way you can also limit the report by creating filters defined as "textmessage" contains "xyz text"

In order to get the correct result I used an attribute. However, I had to create a seperate hierarchy. The metric solution would be cleaner if a non aggregating function could be used (NOT Max or Min because I would like all the messages to be displayed.)
