Text like on a gravestone

Hi there,

I am trying to create an effect of gold writing on a gravestone.

Not medieval stuff, or anything like that, just a new gravestone, with engraved gold text.

Can anybody help?

Just looks like a Bevel and Emboss layer effect on the text layer. You could also use a Color Overlay effect to give you control of the shade of gold. So...

1: Find a photo of marble/stone.
2: Write some text over it.
3: Layer > Layer Style > Color Overlay... and pick a suitable gold colour.
4: Layer > Layer Style > Bevel and Emboss... and try out some of those settings.

...or you could use a Gradient Overlay instead of a Color Overlay to get a nice shine off the gold. Or use both if you know what you're doing!
