Hey all, just a quickie. I'm doing a tutorial that requires me to put some text on an image. It's lots of lines, so it suggests that you do it in notepad and copy accross. It says to copy accross to a "text layer". What is this!? How do i tell a layer to be a text layer? I'm trying to copy the text in, but it just won't work!

Any help GREATLY appreciated. This is very annoying!

Text layers are automatically created when you first drag the text tool across an area on your image.
