Text layer misbehaving

I have a layer of text that is at the bottom of the pile, so to speak, but when I play the movie, the text floats on top of all the other layers. Looks less than good. Any ideas on 1)why the layer refuses to stay on the bottom, and 2)what I can do to correct the problem?

Sounds like a depth problem - are you using duplicated and/or attached clips anywhere in your movie? Slainte
