Text is not printing out black

I have a text frame that is inside a graphics frame and the text is not printing out black. I have made sure the text frame is on top of the graphics frame. Does the printer think the text is part of the graphic frame? Any ideas?

in your preferences there is an option to make black type overprint, also in you print window under the colour bit, if you printout using colour unchanged.
