Text inside of a radio button

Does anyone know how to put text inside of a radio button? I have 4 radio buttons and the user wants them labeled 1-4 but he doesn't want the labels next to the radio buttons. He wants them inside of the buttons. Does anyone have any idea of how to do this? Thanks in advance for your responses.

You can't. Radio buttons are tiny little circles. where would you fit any text?

Tell your user what he wants is not possible, short of creating your own radio button graphics, and recreating the behavior via Javascript.

I agree, it's a silly request. But, for the sake of argument, can a radio have a background color? If so, can it be transparent? If so, one could layer a transparent radio over a text div.
