When I type a paragraph in a foxpro report it stops me on 255 characters, is there a way I can increase this figure ?

Well, yes and now... you can't exceed 255 characters, but you can start a new block. So end a paragraph, and then put a new one under it, if you need that much static text. The other thing you could do is build your static text into a memo field, and then display that in a "Size to stretch" field in the band of your report that you have it in. (Assume it is in header or footer, and not in detail.) Personally, that's what I would do, because you could then edit the text later without the need to change your report.
