i need some code that will do the following:
search through a text(HTML) file, and find the last line that is written to. on the line below that, <b><a href=&quot;

http://www.tek-tips.com&quot;>http://www.tek-tips.com</a><b>.

can anyone give me some code that will do this?

opps- i meant to say on the line below the last line, write this: (thats where the link goes)

If you want to add the text to the end of the file, use the FileSystemObject and open a file in mode 8 (I think) - or in mode ForAppend. Anyhtink written to the file will then be placed at the end of the file.
