hey, i'm working on a new layout for a page of sorts.. you can see it here:
i want the text to be contained in the pink box, but i dont like floating text boxes.. is there a way that i could splice the image so that the area above the text actually hovered above the text, so it is scrolled underneath?

er.. sorry. um... well, i want the text to be in the pink box of my layout i made, but i still want full operation of the scroll bar.

so you want an area in the pink that has text and will scroll in the pink area? (love the graphic by the way)

i dont want an isolated box in the pink area, i'd love to have full usage of the side scroll bar

one option would be to cut the image so that there is a piece of the image above the section with this box, a piece to the left, the box, a piece to the right, and a piece below. Then just plug them all into a table and you can put whatever html element (with whatever style) you want there.

The scroll bar on the right will only appear when there is something there to scroll.

I don't think you'll even see the right scroll bar unless your page is longer than the screen height.
