I'm trying to type text into a picture. But I need to rotate the text. I type the text into the box, choose my font, color, size, etc. But I need to rotate it so it's on an angle. The rotate box is "un-clickable" because you can't check the box. What can I do so I'm able to check the rotate box and rotate my text? Thanks.

Are you trying to rotate by clicking on the rotate anchor point on the type boundry?

Click text tool > enter text, color font etc > click the top rotate anchor that allows you to rotate > finally click enter to complete

Have you selected the Move tool then Transform (CTRL+T)?

Moe: It could have been a real ugly situation, but luckily I managed to shoot him in the spine.

I checked the "preview" box so i could see it. And it allows me to move it, but not rotate it. I can move it up/down/side to side. There are three alignment buttons that you hit if you want it in the left, center or right. Right underneath it is says "rotate" and has a box on the left. but the box is "un-clickable." I'm not sure who i can make it so i can check the box.

Text should be on a separate layer - make sure that is active layer - Edit > Transform > Rotate - either use handles or the numeric bar at top.

OK, thank you very much. But I have a quick question. Whenver I add a layer it duplicates my photo. Basically it is the same thing as the previous picture but it says layer1. And it acts the same too. I'm having the same problem with the text. How can I get the layer to fit on the same screen as the photo? And how do I make a layer w/o duplicating the photo so I can write the text? Thanks

The new layer - Layer menu/New - is just showing you what's underneath it on other layers. To see this open you Layers window and click the little eye next to any layer you don't want to see. Then all you'll see is your blank new layer. To see the other layers again click the blank box so the eye shows.
