Text Form Problems in Word 2K

I am experiencing problems with a PC that will not allow a document to be opened properly that contains text forms. Instead of inserting the correct textform box it inserts the following {TextForm}. I have tried installing the whole of Office in case something needs to be run from the harddrive. I also Service packed the PC. All other PCs I can find insert the textforms correctly. Even when I tried to insert my own text form (to try and trick the MSI to install the missing files) it just inserted the text. This also happened with drop-down boxes etc.

It would appear to me that the computer in question has saved the normal.dot template with field codes showing.

You can turn them off by going to tools/options/view.
Remove the checkmark from the Display field codes box.
