Does anybody know of a good (free) text analyser for auditing *.txt log files on Windows systems?

Cheers

Thanks for your replies SgtB and JimInks, basically l was trying to find some software to pull information from a mail log file ie. by subject line only (to give a list of the users that received this particular email). I had to search through indivdually yesterday, and would like to automate this process in the future.

Many thanks for your help.

Well, you won't find one really. You'd be better off writing your own script. Use the 'grep' command to filter words out of a file.
I'm pretty sure you can get grep to print out the entire line that the 'looked-up' word showed up on.
Grep is native on *nix machines, but there's a port for windows too. Found here:
Just type up a basic script using the grep command, and you should be alright.

I'll see your DMCA and raise you a First Amendment.
