I'm trying to figure out the difference between the different types of Form Fields in Word 2007.

"Rich Text"
"Text"
"Text Form Field"(Legacy Tools)
"Text Box"(ActiveX Control)

I need to build forms in Word that I can be able to type in the fields, and be able to use the 'mailmerge feature' to merge data from an Access database.

Thank you!

Hi lmarshall,

I think you're going to have problems with this: forms and mailmerges don't work well together - in a mailmerge, text formfields get deleted and their contents converted to plain text.

Cheers
