Text Disappears in Outlook when sending mail

I have a couple of users running Outlook 2003 like the rest of the office is, but when they send or forward e-mail with an attachment, text disappers from the body of the e-mail as soon as they hit send. All updates and patches have been applied. Does anyone have a clue on this?
