I entered a long sentence in Text Command and only 1st half is being shown. If I click T and select all it shows all the words, but normal select mode only half is being displayed.
Is it masked ?
Its like the other half of the text is invinsible.
Any ideas ?
Thanks

If you on a later version of PS, where you edit text on the document rather than a separate popup, the text will not show if you go beyond the bounds of the document on any one line.

So if you select 120pt text and type "JMGalvin is one ugly devil" on a 2inch wide PS document, some will not show. If you put a return at the point where things disappear, you should see the stuff on a line below.

Of coursem you can also lower the text size, or use kerning/tracking to get things onto a line.

Entire text is within the document and size is 18pt - half of the sentence seems to be masked and there is a brush icon in layers window in that text layer.
What are the implications.

When you hit the test tool, you will create a new layer for the text. The little brush just means that you did something on the layer - in this case type.

In the layers window drag your text layer up to the top so that you don't have another layer partially obstructing it. If it is topmost on the layers pallette, something else is wrong.

Hide the layer with the text. Select the text tool and drag it across the picture to create a text box. Make it just a wee bit smaller than the picture. Enter your test in that, If necessary the test will wrap in such a box as long as the box is high enough. If that works, trash the old text layer.

even in the text box entry, the final text got masked half way. is there a limit of words for the text layer?

No limit as long as its not bigger than the document. Go to view menu and select print size.

Again, make sure that the text layer is on top. Click on a layer other than your text layer, then click on the text tool to create a new text layer. If you click on the text tool in your present text layer, you'll just get editing of the present text.

You seem to have a lot of text layers added with nothing in them but visible. Hide all layers except the backrgound with the pics of the lady and your new text layer and see what happens. Any layers that are not being used should be trashed. A text layer with text in it will display a snippet of the words in layer window.

You might try NEW layer - not duplicate laer and work on that.
