Text Buttons and Transparency 1

I am having a problem creating text buttons.

My problem is that I am using transparency on each layer and I want to keep the overlapping layout, but the mouse only picks up that it's on a button when it's right over the thin lines of the text.

How can I make it so that the entire bounding box of the text button (and not just the text itself) is active for the button?

Draw a shape (using the rectangle tool for example) in the Hit state while editing your button. The shape in the Hit determines the active area of your button.
