Hi all, using CR 8.5

I have a text box with some free form paragraph in it (Not a database field). There are some differences between the box contents in design view and run time view. For example the lines wrap at different places and the lines don't seem to complete the line to the far right. The box prints like it is only stretched to about 3/4 of the page width. This only happens when I view it on the screen through the application. When I print it, it prints fine but also different than the I designed it.

Can you please help?

Thanks a lot.

By "through the application" you mean from within the CR Preview tab?

Or do you mean from some external program calling the report? Your terminology implies the latter.

As for design and print differences, Crystal is printer dependent, so anything you print will be reformatted for whichever printer is currently used (this is Windows based, not Crystal), Windows is not an exact WYSIWYG.

Your assumption is correct. I open the report through an external program calling.

Thanks for the info.
