text box color change

Hey,
I want to perform a background color change on a text box upon validation of a seperate text box. For example, I have a value to place in a textbox1 that needs to fit between two other values. If the value falls on or between them, textbox2 changes to green, otherwise it changes to red if it doesn't. Is there a way to do that?
