Hello Everyone,

I have a issue with my database. I originally had a AutoNumber has the computerID, so when you input another record into the database it would automatically put the ComputerID in for me. Now I want it to be more then just an AutoNumber, I want it to be OMC-Number rather then just a Number. To do this I had to change the AutoNumber to a text file, so now I can have OMC-Number as the ComputerID but, when I input a new record I have to manually type OMC-Number. So what I would like to know and if so how to do it, if there is a way to make my text OMC-Number automatic like the AutoNumber.

Please help if you know a solution.

Thanks,

In the format property of the autonumber field, you would type something like "OMC-0"0

Thanks for the post. Unforturnately it still doesn't add it automatically. If anyone else might know how to do this it would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

You may consider the DMax function.

Hope This Helps, PH.
