I was looking at Test King.com to use as a study guide and practice test. Has anyone had experience with them?

When frustrated remember, in the computer world there is almost always a backdoor.

Dont use it, its a cheating package generally holding the actually exam questions but from what I have heard usually not even the right answers. I also have heard rumors that they are being taken to court by Microsoft for breaching these rules/laws. Study hard using MSPress books, Exam Crams, virtual labs and so forth, there are PLENTY of materials out there that are great for you to use to study and cheating is not one of them. Good luck with your choice, but remember getting a fake certificate will only make you fail in real world situations as you dont even know the material in depth.

I don't see any problem in using them as another study tool, as long as you don't solely rely on them. As Cstorms said above, they a) use the exact questions that are on the test and b) sometimes don't give the right answers. If you use them as your only study tool to get the cert, when you get out in the real world you will be weeded out as only having a "paper cert" (or whatever expression you want to use). You will not last long in the IT world (that is if you can even get past a techincal interview). It's really, really, really easy to spot the people who know the material from those who just used a brain dump.

My suggestion. Use it after you have already studied and mastered the material. No harm in looking them over after you have put in the work.

Purchasing a stolen copy of an exam for use in preparing for that exam is cheating. Period.

Thank you for the information. I wouldn't support a company like that.

Suggestions for a place to practice test for the Microsoft 70-282, as I feel I have plenty of experence, but would like to see how I do before taking the real test.

I hear good things about MeasureUp.com

Another vote for selftestsoftwre.com.
Never let me down after 6 exams.

Dazed and confused

Personally, I've used the MS Press "Readiness Review" CD's ("powered by MeasureUp") and Transcenders for testing my knowledge of the material on each exam. Both are good, but I prefer the Transcender interface, which is more like the actual exam interface IMO.

TestKing is a waste of time and money, unless you enjoy trying to argue with a document about why their answer is wrong. If they even have an answer for a particular question in the first place.
