This may seem like a backwards request, but nobody ever said I was sane .
First a little background; I am trying to learn linux based mail systems and servers. One of my tasks, is to test spam filtering packages of various technologies. I want to use both RBL filtering, as well as other types of filtering types.
I have registered a test domain, setup a server, and created the accounts. Its all been running great for several months. I have tried to get those email addresses out onto the spam lists but so far havent had much luck.
I am looking to get it out onto the nastiest of the nasty lists; the less than scrupulous ones, and consequently the ones we want to protect our users from most. Like the ones that would be sent thru third-world openrelays, contain bogus info (make money fast, lose weight now, "free" pr0n, etc). and the like. Its no problem to get onto legit lists, but that doesnt seem to give me the full range of possible spam messages you would see in real life.
Currently, at best I get 1 spam per week per account. I am looking to generate as many as possible to get a better feel for how well these packages work. Its kinda tough to test when you dont generate enough messages, and the servers that are getting them are live and cant be tinkered with (lest we annoy the user with downtime and lost messages).
Anyone have any bright ideas on fast ways of getting those email addresses out in circulation?
Thanks!
