Testing DHCP offer

Our SAN Dhcp server admins purely reserved IPs for PXE clients.

I want to try and script a test that will first query an active DHCP server for an IP. I would like to release and then renew the IP and then inspect the dhcpoffer.

If the primary DHCP server is down, then the action I need to take is to fire up the secondary dhcp and migrate our PXE clients configs to it.

I've already scripted the config move from the primary DHCP to the secondary server. It's just the DHCP test that I require help on.
