Hi BO Prodigees,
Can someone share ideas on testing BO reports
with approppriate methodology and steps involved.
I sincerely apologise if this question is not
suitable for posting here.
Thanks,

Formal methodologies aren't my area. I have found that Crystal easily produces a report that looks plausable but is seriously wrong. You really need to get the result or results the same way, using some other software tool.

The big difficulty is that Crystal does things for you without telling you. For instance when linking record A to record B, you will not get cases when record A has no record B, unless you specify 'left outer'. And then - this is the nice part - if you also add a conditional test, it suddenly decides you didn't mean it when you said 'left outer' and treats it as an equal join. That's true for Crystal 8.5, at least, and there are important differences between the version.
