Is this possible. When I try I get DN? What does that mean? I assume I'm not going to pull dial tone because it's GRD so how is this done?

Put your set on the pair, touch a ground to the tip side. Boom dial tone.

We test ground start lines with a maint set and have no issues.

Hey guys, I think phrased that wrong. I know that I will get DT from the trunk applying GRD to a "test set" or "butt set" on the frame. I'm talking about the MTA set on the PBX. When I access the MTA set and input the TN I get what sounds like a GRD to me. This seems like it should be normal seeing that it is a GRD trunk. Am I right, or should I be hearing a DT?

Yes, I did get that you were using an MTA set. You should be hearing dial tone. If you hear a ground buzz, or get a TRK017 (I think) then the line is not seizing. So what does it give you with your butt set?

I get the normal reaction. Put a grd to the test set and I get dial tone.

The it is either programmed as LOP, the card is bad, or the pairs are flipped.

Didn't think it was possible but all 4 of the trunks were reversed, Thanx!
