We're a small (10 people) web solutions company looking to improve the quality and effectiveness of our business. As we're expanding, we're finding it increasingly difficult to manage work-flows, quality testing and version control. Would TestDirector be viable solution for us? What alternatives are there?

Cheers

Jon

There are a number of test management tools available. TestDirector is, in my opinion, the best of the bunch. The biggest alternative is Rational TestManager. However, with Rational you need to integrate a number of applications together to manage requirements, testing and defect management, where TD handles it all in one application.

Also, TD happily integrates with LoadRunner, the most popular tool for load/stress/volume testing. This may be essential if your company is designing high traffic sites for ease of mind for your customers.

Cheers,
Dave

Test director or Quality Center nicely integrates also with QuickTest. You will then be able to launch QTP scripts from TD on the client itself or remotely.

You can get a free one-month evaluation of Quality Centre..It's def worth a try. You will then get a better opinion whether the tool actually fulfills ur business needs,

cheers,
