TestDirector and Lotus Notes

Has anyone had luck getting TestDirector and Lotus Notes to work together. When our testing coordinator mails a defect report to someone in html, garbage is displayed. When it is sent in plain text there is no problem. We would like to send e-mails in html from TestDirector but have had no luck in figuring this out so far. Mercury Support has been no help in helping us solve this problem.
